Ivan T. Thornton 

Ivan T. Thornton is the Founder and Managing Partner of Fiduciary Management Group (FMG). Prior to launching the firm in 2005, Mr. Thornton spent ten years at Credit Suisse where he was a Vice President and a member of the Chairman’s Council.

Mr. Thornton’s 30 plus year career includes more than seven years at Morgan Stanley as a Vice President and Financial Consultant (member of the President’s Council), and three years as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Thornton is often called upon to execute asset allocation strategies, manage lump-sum distributions and counsel wealthy individuals and families, pension funds and endowments.  Mr. Thornton is recognized for his top quintile portfolio performance and his emphasis on fiscal responsibility.

Mr. Thornton received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Stern School of Business at New York University, and his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from Howard University.  Mr. Thornton is an SEC Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).
